    Proposal

    A written proposal with dimensions, pricing, and a realistic timeline. No surprises later.

    Deposit & Sketch

    50% deposit to begin. A preliminary sketch or colour study shared for approval before paint touches canvas.

  4. 04

    Alla Prima Execution

    Painted wet-on-wet in one session. The energy of a live moment, captured and fixed in oil.

  5. 05

    Delivery

    Cured, signed, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity. Remaining 50% due on delivery.

D. picOddso in the studio

Don works under the name picOddso — a play on piccolo and the particular oddness of seeing the world through oil paint.

He paints alla prima: direct, wet-on-wet, completed in a single session. No glazing, no overworking. A painting is either honest from the first mark, or it does not survive. The constraint is the method.

His palette runs exactly twelve colors — a discipline that forces every mixture, every value decision, through a narrow gate. The result is work that holds together because it had to.

Texas-born and Texas-based. A sculptor as well as a painter — the same commitment to form, to observation, to the energy of the first gesture, whether in oil or clay.
